Married to my high school sweetheart going on 42 years. Have had a few different career changes, but am looking at retirement with an income from Internet Marketing.

This site is to share some of the things I have learned over the past two years so that, hopefully, someone else will be able to avoid some mistakes and be successful much quicker when trying to learn how to make money online as an Internet Marketing Beginner.

While I do not consider joining Wealthy Affiliate a mistake, I would not do it again. In case you are not familiar with Wealthy Affiliate, it is an online training ground for Internet Marketing. The fee is $40 per month. I stuck with the program for about 8 months.

During that time, I went from one learning venue to another inside Wealthy Affiliate, and with each one I got a bit more confused. I attempted to implement each one that didn’t cost anything, and the end result was frustration and confusion for me and for my websites. There was no focus.

So, I had found a product called One Week Marketing, which basically was the cost of a single month at Wealthy Affiliate. One Week Marketing is an extremely simple step-by-step way to make money online for beginners. With it, I found a way to focus on the simple things.

You see, my goal is not to make $10,000 a day or even a month. I just want to make some extra money to supplement my upcoming retirement. That is not to say I would turn down a nice hefty sum like that.

And I have discovered through One Week Marketing that it is possible to make more than I thought I could at the beginning. I have been increasing my monthly income steadily, using simple marketing tactics.

I am avoiding all those new product launches that promise instant success. I still believe there is no free lunch. It is better to commit some time and effort to your work and come by your income honestly.

I purchased a second product similar to One Week Marketing. This one is 4-Day Money Making Blueprint. I found it to be an excellent sequel to One Week Marketing. The author, David Bocock, is a very humble guy who does not take advantage of his “people”.

My strategy to make money online is to continue to use free methods of promotion, mainly Article Marketing. It works. But if you are a beginner in the Internet Marketing business, please be advised that you will have to spend some time. It is true that 95% of the folks who start in Internet Marketing fall by the wayside. Hopefully, you will be one of the 5% who does not.
