Article Writing - Start When You Are Young

There are many people who dread having to write papers or articles. Many just feel like it seems to be too much work and it all just goes to waste when no one reads the. To some people, reading articles seems like work to, especially if the article is boring and very bland. Well, articles are supposed to be read, that’s their purpose to impart your message and information. If it is not read then it is a waste of time and effort.

But all the same, articles have to be written to be read. It’s just a matter of making them good. Making a good article doesn’t have to be strenuous and straining. There are just some points needed to be reminded of, and some guides to follow. Once you get the hang of it, writing articles could be fun, as well as profitable for you and your site.

Of course, writing articles must be about something you know about, that’s why if you own a site, you probably is knowledgeable about that certain topic and theme. When you write about it, you won’t have a hard time because you already know what it is and what it’s about. It’s just a matter of making your articles creative and interesting.

Six Steps To Get Your Articles Read

To make sure that your articles get read and enjoyed, here are six red hot tips to get your articles read. These tips will make your articles readable and interesting.

  1. Use short paragraphs. When the paragraph are very long, the words get jumbled in the mind of the reader just looking at it It can get quite confusing and too much of a hard work to read. The reader will just quickly disregard the paragraph and move on to much easier reading articles that are good to look at as well as read. Paragraphs can be a single sentence, sometimes even a single word!
  2. Make use of numbers or bullets. As each point is stressed out, numbers and bullets can quickly make the point easy to remember and digest. As each point, tip, guide or method is started with a bullet or point, readers will know that this is where the tips start and getting stressed. Format you bullets and numbers with indentations so that your article won’t look like a single block of square paragraphs. Add a little bit of flair and pizzazz to your articles shape.
  3. Use Sub-headings to sub-divide your paragraphs in the page. Doing this will break each point into sections but still would be incorporated into one whole article. It would also be easy for the reader to move on from one point to another; the transition would be smooth and easy. You will never lose your readers attention as well as the point and direction to where the article is pointing.
  4. Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header. If your title can entice a person’s curiosity you’re already halfway in getting a person to read your article. Use statements and questions that utilize keywords that people are looking for. Provide titles or headers that describe your articles content but should also be short and concise.
Use titles like, “Tips on making her want you more”, or “How to make her swoon and blush.” You could also use titles that can command people, for example, “Make her yours in six easy Ways”. These types of titles reach out to a person’s emotions and makes them interested.
  5. Keep them interested from the start to the finish. From your opening paragraph, use real life situations that can be adopted by the reader. Use good descriptions and metaphors to drive in your point, just don’t over do it. Driving your examples with graphic metaphors and similes would make it easy for them to imagine what you are talking about. Making the experience pleasurable and enjoyable for them.
  6. Use figures when necessary and not just ordinary and insipid statements. Using specific facts and figures can heighten your article because it makes it authoritative. But do not make it too formal, it should be light and easy in them and flow. Like a friendly teacher having a little chat with an eager student.

Follow these six steps and you are sure to improve your numbers, both how many readers you get as well as the “click through” rate.

What Is SEO – Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization will get your Website noticed in the Search Engines

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is used in all aspects of web marketing. You need to understand as much as you can about how SEO works in order to provide the best possible rank for you website.

When you use SEO in all of your content – both text and visual, you can draw more traffic to your site. In order to understand how to use SEO, you need to know why people use this type of marketing and rely on it so heavily in order to get the desired traffic to their website. SEO is what gets a website noticed in the search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, and others.

So what exactly is SEO?

When you are using SEO, you are using the context of the webpage to let the search engines know what your web page is about. This includes adding keywords to the text content, as well as to the images (using alternate text and image captions). By using these keywords, they are easy to find when someone is searching for them using the various search engines online. While it is often said that Google relies more on SEO content than Yahoo, which relies more on link building, the truth of the matter is that in order for a website to be discovered online, it must come up in the search engine.

For example, if you have a website that sells cooking appliances, you will want to make sure that you structure your site so that others who may be looking for the products you sell will be able to find it online. Those who are looking online for what you have to sell may do it in a number of different ways, although the easiest way for someone to find something online is to use the search engines. Most of the traffic to your website will come from search engine optimization.

You need to know which keywords will work for your website. These are the words or phrases that people will put into the search engine bars to receive the search engine results pages. Many people today are putting in longer phrases into the search engines to narrow down their search.

There are tools that the website owner can use to investigate the best keywords for their website, based on what they sell and what words potential customers are likely to plug into the search bars that will lead them to the site. In order to succeed at this, a website owner must not only know the concept of SEO, but also much about the target market, which is those who are most likely to purchase the products on the website.

If you are just starting out your website, or if you have a website up and running already, you need to know how to use search engine optimization in all facets of your marketing. While there are other ways to market your website and products without using SEO, the fact of the matter is that 60 percent of all traffic on websites comes from those who found the website in the search engines. These people are seeking out what you have to offer and are finding you online as long as you are accessible.

Once your site is search engine optimized, you can expect to get more traffic to your site from the search engines. People who may be interested in your site will find it easier if your website is search engine optimized. Most people use the search engines to find what they are looking for when they go online. By having your website optimized and easy to find in the search engine results pages, you can attract more traffic to your website through the search engines.

There are many internet marketing companies that will help you get your website search engine optimized and keep it that way. Some of the methods that they use to optimize a website include the following:

  • Article marketing
  • Blogs
  • Press Releases
  • Video ads
  • Google ads

All of these can be optimized in order to incorporate keywords that will make the website appear in the search engine results pages or, in the case of Google ads, land them on pages where they are most likely to find people who will be interested in your website. The entire purpose of making a website search engine optimized is to make it easier for potential clients or customers to visit your site.

Those who may be interested in your products or services can only take advantage of them if the know about them and where to get them. You have, most likely, gone on line in search of something that you wanted to buy at one time or another. Chances are that you put the information into the search engine toolbar to pull up search engine results pages. You probably sifted through a few pages before you came up with what you wanted.

This is the basic concept of SEO. Those who understand how to use SEO to make their website more searchable and likely to come up in the first two pages of the search engine results pages are more likely to have clients land on their site.

There are probably many sites out there that offer you interesting information as well as products or services. Unfortunately, many of them are buried deep in the search engine results pages.

Most people, when searching online for something, will give up after going a few pages into the search engine results pages. In some cases, a search may produce millions of hits. Needless to say, you do not want to go through every one in order to find what you are looking for. Most people have neither the time or the inclination to do this.

This is why it is so important for businesses and others who want to have their website noticed make sure that they use SEO techniques in order to do so. By using SEO, a website will no longer be buried in the middle or at the end of millions of results. It has a better chance of getting to the front of the search engine results pages.

Does One Week Marketing Work?

April 21st, 2010

By Rebecca Green

ONE WEEK MARKETING

One Week Marketing is a brand new product which has been released to supposedly take away the confusion for those who have got started with internet/affiliate marketing but have found themselves drowning in a sea of confusion. This new product appears to be the solution but many are asking “Does One Week Marketing work?”

I bought One Week Marketing on the first day of release. I had made contact with the author previously and because of my dealings with her, I could not imagine it to be anything but well-meant. However, despite this, I was aware that it was her first product so I admit to wondering myself if One Week Marketing would work.

I sat for a whole evening devouring each page and as I read through it, on every page there was another revelation. When I had finished the whole package (which is in excess of 200 information-packed pages) I simply couldn’t wait to put together another campaign. This time though, I just knew it would be different because I was following a proper plan with steps and stages I could “tick off” instead of sitting at my desk surrounded by notes on scraps of paper. There were so many things I hadn’t thought of doing (and indeed didn’t even know could be done!) to promote my campaigns-heck, I suddenly realized that my “campaigns” weren’t even proper campaigns in the context of One Week Marketing which simply took things to another level.

My own story then goes on.

I began a campaign the next day, following all the steps outlined in the report. Over the next week I had an unprecedented amount of traffic to my site and actually made 2 sales-something I had never done so early on in a campaign. So in my opinion, in answer to the question “Does One Week Marketing Work?” I would have to say a resounding “Yes”.

Would I buy it again? Definitely!

Before trying One Week Marketing for myself, I had seen, first hand the success of the campaign which inspired the product. As a member of Wealthy Affiliate, I was acutely aware of how helpful Jennifer Ledbetter was and how she was constantly trying to help others and how she had helped a struggling internet marketer make his first sales (the inspiration for One Week Marketing).

If you would like to take a look at the link below, you can get hold of the first 18 pages of One Week Marketing for free which will help you decide if this might help you in your own efforts.

Five Quick Tips For How To Make Money Online for Beginners

April 8th, 2010

I was a beginner in this journey called affiliate marketing exactly one year and one month ago.

I truly wish I knew then what I know now.

Discover the Easiest and Fastest Wasy to Make Money Online – I did, and it really is easy. Plus no money for websites or pay-per-click.

That’s why I am writing this post called “How to Make Money Online for Beginners”. I am hoping to help someone else who is just getting started to avoid some of the potholes in the road of affiliate marketing.

I hope you take this first bit of advice, even if you don’t follow anything else in this post. It is somewhat negative, but before I give you my take on how to make money online for beginners, I need to tell you what not to do in the beginning.

Tip #1: Don’t get caught in the glitz of “shiny things”.

Shiny things are those promotions that promise to deliver $$$thousands in the first 25 minutes, or 25 days. Don’t buy! I have had my share of shiny things over the past 13 months. I have been on dozens of lists (still am, in fact). Someone is going to make a killing on that launch day, but it ain’t gonna be you.

OK, that’s out of the way.

Now here is my first suggestion for how to make money online for beginners.

Tip #2: Be prepared for a learning experience. I’m sure this online marketing thing comes easy for a few, but those few are an exception rather than a normal. Learning is just part of the process. It takes time to get the ball rolling on its own. Even if you think it all makes sense, keep on researching and reading about the process.

This brings us to tip number two for how to make money online for beginners.

Tip #3: Practice “situational learning.” This is learning at the point of need. The very first money I spent to learn how to make money online was to join the Wealthy Affiliate Online learning community. Now, don’t get me wrong, there are many very helpful folks at that website, and you can learn a ton. But therein lies the rub.

Wealthy Affiliates has SO much information, you can drown in the sea of knowledge. Once you start poking around in there, you feel overwhelmed by the plethora (always wanted to use that word somewhere) of information. So much so, you don’t know which process to try next. If you are a true beginner, I would not go there to find out how to make money online. Maybe later.

Right, so back to “situational learning”. You need to learn one thing at a time, and this is important – learn it when you need it. Don’t try to learn everything at once. Just take a small bite, chew, and digest before you take the next bite.

The next suggestion for how to make money online for beginners is one that you may have heard many times already, even if just starting out. However, I want you to get it, because I did not. I knew it, but I didn’t get it.

Tip#4: Here’s the tip: Concentrate on only ONE keyword.

This one is so important, it probably should be #1. But if you are really are looking for good suggestions for How to Make Money Online for Beginners, then Avoid Shiny things is really the primary tip.

Anyway, in the beginning, I thought I was so smart that I loaded my writing with multiple keywords, hoping to catch more searchers with more keywords. It didn’t work for me. It won’t work for you either.

By the way, if you are new enough to not know what a keyword phrase is, it is the phrase that you might type into a search box when looking for information. For instance, the keyword phrase for this post is “how to make money online for beginners.”

OK, so  after months of hardly any success with the hundreds of articles and websites I had written, I wrote an article that had only one keyword phrase in it. Because the subject was quite limited, I could think of only one keyword phrase for that article.

Now, what I do with my articles is that I have been using the same article and rewriting it (or spinning it) and posting it on 8-10 article sites. So I checked the keyword phrase about two days after the articles went live, and I literally almost wet my britches. I had 6 out of the top 10 results on the first page of Google! No joke. This happened within the first two days of article posting.

Can I tell you that I am not too bright? Don’t do what I did. Write about only ONE keyword phrase at a time.

Need a great Keyword Tool? Keyword Snatcher will generate some fantastic keywords that you will be able to get onto the first page of the Search Engines fairly easily. Take a look at the Keyword Snatcher Demo Video and see what I mean.

Tip #5: A final how to make money online for beginners tip: Treat your new chosen career of affiliate marketing as if it was a real job. Because it really is. Set goals for yourself as far as what you want to get done. Set deadlines for finishing work, such as writing articles or setting up blogs or websites.

By the way, if you are not a self starter, you will need someone to keep you accountable. You need an encourager or “boss” to help keep you moving. Remember, Rome was not built in a day, and neither will your online business be successful in a day.

To recap the tips that will help you discover how to make money online for beginners:

  1. Don’t go after the shiny things.
  2. Be prepared to learn.
  3. Practice “situational learning”.
  4. Concentrate on a single Keyword Phrase.
  5. Treat your affiliate marketing business as a real job.

And now, a bonus. You can use Wordpress blogging platform for SEO optimization. A great theme for SEO is Socrates. Use that link to see it in action.

That’s it.

But let me steer you toward a really simple step-by-step video series. It is done by an extremely capable fella who does keep it simple. He does not give you too much information.

And best of all, he does not charge so much that you need to mortgage the farm. He did not title his product “How to make money online for beginners,” but he really could have. Instead, it is titled 4 Day Money-Making Blue Print.

It is a complete plan to help you get your first sales online in a very simple easy to understand “situational learning” set of videos. You listen, then do, each step.

Testimonials from people like me are numerous. They sound something like this, ” I tried so many other programs, but none of them make sense until I found David’s ‘4 Day Money Making Blue Print’.

If you try it, you will like it. No hype, just plain, down to earth teaching.
I am including a little 2 minute testimonial here just to support what I said about the 4-Day Money Making BluePrint

And if, for some reason, you don’t like it, there is a money-back guarantee. No questions asked.
